Sea Sonic Electronics, a professional manufacturer of switch mode power supplies will feature their newest high efficiency power supplies at the Taipei international computer show, Computex Taipei 2008, held June 3 to June 7 at the Taipei World Trade Nangang Exhibition Hall (booth I329 & I331).  Models on display will range from standard output to high power units with all models meeting WEEE and RoHS environmental standards.  The focus of the exhibit will be on the environment-friendly topics such as high efficiency, 80PLUS, and Energy Star 4.0.  Sea Sonic Electronics, in addition to providing own-branded retail models, also works closely with various OEM/ODM customers to provide the most technologically advanced and competitive products for the market today.

Sea Sonic Electronics will display a wide range of 80PLUS certified ATX12V v2.2 & EPS12V v2.91 power supplies, including high-power units to support dual and quad PCI-E applications.  For industrial computers, Sea Sonic offers the H1U & H2U series, with high-efficiency and incorporates modular DC cable harness that permits configuration flexibility and enhances system cooling and efficiency.

Sea Sonic Electronics will also display a new open frame series designed and built for high temperature applications such as netcom (net-working & telecommunication) and medical devices.  This is possible through extensive use of high-grade components to make these units withstand system-operating temperatures of up to 50℃.

In addition, the company’s external AC to DC power adapters will also be on display. This series provides 12V, 19V, 20V and 24 V DC single outputs and meets the latest EPA and CEC's energy norms.  Applications are for Mini PC, notebook-laptops, LCD screens and related applications, in line specifically for the energy minded consumers.

For the retail markets, Sea Sonic Electronics will introduce their super-high efficiency X, S12D and M12D series.  The three series are based on a DC to DC topology where efficiency can achieve 88% and be in line with Energy Star 4.0 norms.  These new series are improved over the standard 80PLUS power supplies with better energy conservation and efficiency standards.  Combined with a power factor of 0.99, users can achieve greater savings than 20% under common load conditions for system operations.  In addition, these new series utilize a Dual 12V-rail circuit design, improved over-current protection (OCP) and a more stable output with nearly perfect performance for silence.  These performance thresholds are achieved through use of high grade 105℃ capacitors and a specially designed 12cm Sanyo Denki San Ace Silent fan combined with Seasonic’s award winning S2FC fan control circuit and a honeycomb ventilation to cool the power supply and at the same time increase stability and durability.
